Capital bullied Their Way Past Minico in Capital Classic Opener, 76-48

The Capital High Eagles flew past the Minico Spartans, 76-48, in the opening game of the Capital Classic. The Clay brothers led the charge with 15 points each, combining for 6 steals to fuel Capital’s up-tempo attack. Ellion Bailey added 12 points, while the Eagles’ big men, Shepard Fish (5 rebounds/6 points) and Daiken Lowe (8 rebounds/4 points), controlled the paint and dominated the boards. As an added bonus to the game, Capital welcomed back David McNamara from the IR, with 6 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Capital’s relentless pace and inside presence proved too much for the Spartans as they advanced in the tournament with another statement win, improving to 4-1, and will face the Bishop Kelly Knights in their next round.
