Capital Stumbles in Rare Low-Energy Defeat to Kuna
The Capital High Eagles had an uncharacteristically off night, falling to Kuna 74-43 in a game where energy and effort seemed to be lacking. Coming off the emotional high of their intense Real CHS rivalry win, the Eagles appeared worn down and couldn’t find their usual spark. Despite having that justification, Coach Telleria refused to let that excuse be the reason his team didn't show up, "There are no easy nights in our conference. We have to do a better job of preparing ourselves for these nights."
Despite the tough loss, there were some bright spots: David McNamara contributed 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Abdul Ahmed brought his trademark high energy with 9 points. Isaiah Telleria and Quincey Clay each added 8 points to the effort.
Although a disappointing showing, the Eagles remain strong at 12-3 overall and will look to bounce back quickly as they refocus for the road ahead.
